About Me
Hi, I’m Jodie, a certified infant sleep consultant and mum to two boys who have given me two completely different sleep journeys. My firstborn, Freddie, began sleeping well from around 11 weeks old, although we still experienced the occasional rough patch along the way. My youngest, Louie, however, had a very different start. He was breastfed on demand, which meant the responsibility for night wakings fell entirely on me. My nights felt incredibly lonely, waking again and again to feed him while the rest of the world slept. It was an exhausting time and I often felt like I was stuck in a never-ending cycle of sleep deprivation. I remember sitting awake and crying in the middle of the night with my son in my arms, wondering what I was doing wrong and why it seemed so hard. Speaking with other parents helped me realise I wasn’t alone in feeling this way and reassured me that I was, in fact, doing amazing!Returning to work after maternity leave meant a significant adjustment for me, managing sleep deprivation whilst planning breaks around expressing milk made the working day more physically demanding. Balancing my role at work and the responsibility of being a parent became physically and emotionally demanding. I began exploring support from sleep consultants, hoping that even a few solid hours of sleep each night would help me regain a healthier work–life balance. That experience ultimately led me to where I am today — developing a real passion not only for infant sleep, but for supporting parents who have felt as I once did.Alongside my personal experience, I bring over ten years of professional experience working with children in a primary school setting, where I have supported many families through a range of challenges. I have always loved working with children and knowing that I am making a positive difference in their lives. These experiences, combined with my own journey through sleepless nights as a parent, sparked my passion to become a sleep consultant so I could support other families through one of the most emotional and exhausting stages of family life with understanding and compassion.I know how overwhelming sleep struggles can feel, which is why I work closely with families to provide gentle, personalised support that fits your child, your values, and your daily life. Helping families achieve their goal regardless of what that looks like from getting longer stretches of sleep to adjusting bedtime routines or reducing sleep associations. My approach to sleep training is gentle, responsive, and centred around your family. As a certified infant sleep consultant trained by the The Sleep Consultancy Academy, a widely recognised and trusted sleep consultancy training provider, I use evidence-based guidance alongside real-life understanding of infant and toddler sleep.I aim to work closely with parents to provide personalised sleep plans, compassionate guidance, and ongoing reassurance that feels supportive rather than prescriptive. My focus is on helping families build confidence, develop sustainable routines, and move towards calmer nights and more peaceful sleep in a way that feels right for them.My Approach
